Maridiana Alpaca, in fact, from 2000 produces articles and accessories in wool, mohair and alpaca, whose raw material is obtained by the animal raised in the farm.
In the many years of activity in the natural textile sector, Maridiana Alpaca has collaborated with various museums, laboratories, artisans and small factories in Umbria and Tuscany. The activities that Maridiana Alpaca put at disposal of the guests are workshops in the world of natural and artisanal textiles as those as hand spinning, felting, knitting and crochet needel. Also visits are organized to interesting Museums like the Museum of Piero della Francesca in Sansepolcro, Hemp Museum in Sant'Anatolia di Narco (Spoleto), or the Tulle Museum and the Lace Museum on the shores of Trasimeno Lake.
The experiences in the textile world proposed by Maridiana Alpaca brings also to the discovery of the principal excellencies of the Alto Tevere territory as the Tela Umbra Museum and laboratory in Città di Castello and the Busatti laboratory in Anghiari. Also there will be a direct contact with the most important centres of the Region, from Assisi to Bevagna and Perugia: there will be the discovery not only of the old traditional excellences on the arts-craft production, but also of the famous factories as Tasselli Cashmere in Bevagna and Cucinelli Cashmere in Solomeo, known in all Italy and worldwide with their shops.
